Backed by clinical studies
In an 18-month randomised, double-blind trial in 194 adults, a hydroxyapatite toothpaste matched fluoride for caries prevention: 89.3% of the hydroxyapatite group finished with no new decay, against 87.4% on 1450 ppm fluoride.ΒΉ A 2024 systematic review and meta-analysis found hydroxyapatite remineralised enamel significantly better than placebo, and performed on par with fluoride.Β²
